Dialysis is a massive stable market (~$25B US, ~550K patients) dominated by two dialysis providers (DaVita, Fresenius) operating through centralized clinics. Outset's moat is breaking this model:

1. FDA 510(k) clearance with water purification integration: Traditional dialysis requires a separate water treatment room with purified water plumbing — a major infrastructure requirement that confines dialysis to dedicated centers. Tablo integrates water purification into the console itself, using a tap-water input and disposable cartridges that handle purification and dialysate generation. 2.
